As we close the year of 2010, on December the 30th, Dwayne’s Photo lab in Parsons, Kansas, USA, did its final processing of any Kodachrome film that had been submitted to them. They were the last lab still processing this film. Kodachrome was an iconic film stock. The mainstay of many photographers, it ws also widely used in the motion picture industry. With the advent of digital technology for capturing images, Kodak stopped making the film in 2009. The last ever film produced was given to Steve McCurry, he shot the roll earlier in 2010. The results are sublime. See more frames from the last ever roll of Kodachrome.
